At the SME Innovation Merit Awards Ceremony held on November 14 at the Ulsan Exhibition & Convention Center,
INWOO Corporation received the Minister of SMEs and Startups Commendation for its Ion-Exchange Fiber Bead technology.

This event was hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and co-organized by the INNOBIZ Association, MAINBIZ Association, and Ulsan Metropolitan City.

SME Technology & Management Innovation Fair Held… 230 Contributors Awarded

The “2024 SME Technology & Management Innovation Fair,” which shares the achievements of technological and management innovation of small and medium-sized enterprises, opened on the 14th.

More than 100 SMEs challenging the global market with innovative technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) participated in the event.

On the same day, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the INNOBIZ Association, the MAINBIZ Association, and Ulsan Metropolitan City held the opening ceremony of the 2024 SME Technology & Management Innovation Fair 

at the Ulsan Exhibition & Convention Center in Ulju-gun, Ulsan.

Now in its 25th year, the Technology & Management Innovation Fair was held under the theme “Innovative SMEs, Adding AI.”

At the opening ceremony, a total of 230 awards were presented to contributors 

who achieved outstanding results through technology and management innovation and contributed to the development of the national economy.

The Silver Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit was awarded to Kim Tae-wan, 

CEO of WooWon Technology, and Jung Ji-won, CEO of SJ Autotech, while the Bronze Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit was awarded to Wang Je-won, CEO of InnoBioSurg.

The Civil Service Merit Medal was awarded to Professor Choi Eun-ha of Kwangwoon University, and the Industrial Service Medal was awarded to Jung Hyung-kwon, 

CEO of Geumseong Wind Power, and Kim Hoe-taek, CEO of Prime Fire Protection.

More than 100 innovative SMEs presented cases of innovation in four key areas at the exhibition hall, 

including AI Transformation (AX), Carbon Neutrality, Global Expansion, and Research & Development (R&D).

At the Innovation Theme Hall, exhibits included a photo booth that creates virtual characters using generative AI, 

a solution that detects real-time risks in factories through CCTV using AI, and a smart controller that remotely controls temperature and humidity using IoT technology.

In addition, various side events were also held, including the Global Eco-Friendly Forum, 

Science and Technology Policy Forum, Technical Officer Employment Matching Fair, and Ulsan Startup Festa.

Oh Young-joo, Minister of SMEs and Startups, stated,
“We will support technologically and managerially innovative SMEs so that they can grow as leading players amid the rapidly changing global competition for technological supremacy.”
Jung Kwang-cheon, Chairman of the INNOBIZ Association, said,
“Those who have played a leading role in Korea’s innovation are the protagonists of today’s event,” adding,
“We hope that various technologies will come together so that SMEs can realize the value of innovation and lead growth in the global market.”

- However, for smooth service consultation, records may be retained for up to three (3) months after the consultation is completed.
- Where retention is required by applicable laws such as the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, information may be preserved for a certain period.

Procedures and Methods of Personal Information Destruction

In principle, the company destroys personal information without delay once the purpose of collection and use has been achieved.
Information entered by members for registration, etc., is transferred to a separate database (or a separate filing cabinet in the case of paper documents) after the purpose has been achieved.
It is then stored for a certain period in accordance with internal policies and relevant laws (refer to retention and use period) and subsequently destroyed.
Personal information transferred to a separate DB will not be used for purposes other than those required by law.
Personal information stored in electronic file format is deleted using technical methods that prevent the records from being restored.
