The Korea Hidden Champion Association, under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, held the “2nd Korea Hidden Champion Awards 2019” ceremony on the 17th at the Grand Hall of Patio Nine in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

The 2nd Korea Hidden Champion Awards is an official event organized by the Korea Hidden Champion Association, marking its second year following last year’s inaugural ceremony.

Through a rigorous evaluation process conducted by a panel of experts, a total of 25 companies were selected across three categories: Innovative Products, Win-Win Cooperation, and Overseas Exports.

Among the selected companies, three outstanding SMEs in each category received the Seoul Mayor’s Award. The event was jointly sponsored by MBN and the Maeil Business Newspaper.

The Innovative Products category is awarded to companies that possess patented technologies or innovative products representing new concepts globally or domestically in 2019.
The Win-Win Cooperation category is awarded to companies that have demonstrated at least five cases of collaboration with member companies or major external corporations.
The Overseas Exports category recognizes companies that own their own factories or brands and have achieved export sales of more than USD 5 million this year.

In the Innovative Products category, 16 companies received awards, including Nature & Environment and Chanyul, which were honored with the Seoul Mayor’s Award.

INWOO Corporation was established in 1993 as a trading company specializing in petrochemical products such as lubricant additives and refinery additives.

To date, the company has supplied chemical raw materials and advanced equipment, including high-quality ozone generators used in water treatment facilities, to more than 30 companies across 16 countries worldwide.

- However, for smooth service consultation, records may be retained for up to three (3) months after the consultation is completed.
- Where retention is required by applicable laws such as the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, information may be preserved for a certain period.

Procedures and Methods of Personal Information Destruction

In principle, the company destroys personal information without delay once the purpose of collection and use has been achieved.
Information entered by members for registration, etc., is transferred to a separate database (or a separate filing cabinet in the case of paper documents) after the purpose has been achieved.
It is then stored for a certain period in accordance with internal policies and relevant laws (refer to retention and use period) and subsequently destroyed.
Personal information transferred to a separate DB will not be used for purposes other than those required by law.
Personal information stored in electronic file format is deleted using technical methods that prevent the records from being restored.
